Charley Ellis


Charley has built a career around investment. For more than 30 years, he led Greenwich Associates, leading financial services organizations around the world. .

Charley has taught advanced investment courses at both the Yale School of Management and Harvard Business School. He is also the author of 23 books. Charley has served as a trustee and chair of endowment investment committees for Yale University, Exeter, the Robert Wood Foundation, and the Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research. He has also chaired the CFA Institute, the investment profession’s global organization, as well as the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation (GIC) and New Zealand’s Future Fund.

His education includes Exeter, Yale University, Harvard Business School, and a Ph.D. from New York University.

Above all, Ellis considers the greatest blessing of his life to be his long and happy marriage to Linda Lorimer. Together they have four children and seven grandchildren.
