Summer Reading with your Local Library

Reading over the summer is not only a great way for children to prepare for the upcoming school year but also prevents learning loss. Summer reading provides an engaging way for children to continue to learn and introduces a love of reading for fun. Get your child excited about summer reading through programs at your local library!

You can get great books for free at the New Haven Reads Book Bank for you and your child to enjoy this summer. The Book Bank is located at 45 Bristol Street and is open Monday through Wednesday from 1:00-7:00 pm and Thursday and Friday from 1:00-6:00 pm.
