Celebrating World Book Night

The Yale Publishing Course helped us celebrate World Book Night USA once again this year!¬†World Book Night is an annual celebration dedicated to spreading the joy of reading, person to person. Each year on April 23, tens of thousands of people go out into their communities and give half a million free World Book Night paperbacks to light readers and non-readers — or, in our case, developing readers.

World Book Night

The Yale Publishing Course donated 10 boxes of books totaling 200 brand new titles to New Haven Reads to inspire our middle and high school students to become avid readers of excellent books! We received 20 copies of each of the titles in the slideshow below:

Thank you, Yale Publishing Course!

World Book Night is a nonprofit that spreads the love and power of reading person to person through the giving of books. With a parallel mission of sharing the joy and power of reading, we’re thrilled to be a WBN2014 beneficiary!
