Books
The New Haven Reads Community Book Bank receives and redistributes used books to area residents. Teachers and various local organizations can take large numbers of books. All of our books are free.
Where do your books come from?
Our books are donated by individuals or community groups. Some books come from the leftovers of library sales.
What kind of books do you accept?
We take any books in good to excellent condition, but we do not take any encyclopedias or magazines. We are always in need of children’s picture books.
How do I donate books?
Bring your books to the Book Bank during our open hours (Monday-Friday 1-6pm, and Saturday 12-4pm).
If you are an individual or organization that would like to arrange a Children’s Book Drive on behalf of New Haven Reads, we would love to speak with you about it. Please call Theresa at (203) 752-1923 or e-mail her at theresa@newhavenreads.org
Book Bank Hours: Monday-Friday 1:00-6:00 pm, and Saturday 12:00-4:00 pm.
